Join us, Olympians Lee Kiefer and Gerek Meinhardt, for a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to elevate your fencing while enjoying a luxury experience with the family at the world renown Forte Village in beautiful Sardinia, Italy. From our own experience, the biggest leaps in our fencing have come from high-quality summer training camps with fencers from around the world. We would be honored to contribute to your growth as a fencer along with making lasting family memories.

Advanced training meets luxury family vacation.

In our effort to create a highly competitive training environment, participation in this camp will be by application. If interested, please complete this short application (no deposit needed at this point) and you will be contacted in the fall after applications are reviewed.

We are also considering organizing a Veteran foil camp and would love for any interested Veteran fencers to complete this survey to share your feedback and help guide our planning.

Private lessons will also be available with more details to come.

  • August 3 - 7, 2026

  • The cost of the camp is $1,000 USD and private lessons will be available for an additional fee. Participants are required to stay a minimum of 6 consecutive nights at Forte Village.

  • Sessions will include warm up, games, strength and conditioning, footwork, drills, situational bouting and open bouting. Participants will be separated by age.

    Detailed schedule to come but the tentative plan will include morning and afternoon sessions with an average of six hours per day.

  • Expect to receive updates in the fall with final application decisions sent out by December 2025 to allow for plenty of time to make travel and accommodation reservations.

  • A dedicated booking page with special rates reserved for camp participants and a Forte Village point-of-contact will be posted within a few weeks. A 1-week stay at Forte Village starts at approximately 8,000 Euros per family and includes accommodation, breakfast, dinner, and airport transfers. Private villas are also available upon request, starting at approximately 50,000 Euros per week.

Meet the Instructors

Lee and Gerek, who both have their sights set on the LA 2028 Olympic Games, have run clinics across the world. They are excited to continue to impart their high-level international experience in a fun and creative training environment.

  • Lee started fencing at age 7 in Kentucky and is the most decorated foil fencer in US history. She has won three Olympic gold medals, seven Senior World Championship medals, and has finished three seasons ranked #1 in the World.

  • Gerek began fencing at age 9 in San Francisco, California, and has been a trailblazer for USA Fencing. He was the first American man to win a Senior World Championships medal in 2010, became the first US men’s foil fencer to attain the #1 World ranking in 2013, and won a record seventh Senior World Championships medal in 2022.
